Austin City Limits Music Festival

In the tradition of the TV show (Austin City Limits) from which the Festival was born, the three-day event has always aimed to offer musical discovery for the fans. The 2008 edition served up a collection of acts from rock to hip-hop, blues to country, singer-songwriter to avant-garde, and all sounds in between.

The former lead singer from the Wallflowers, Dylan took his career solo in 2006 with The Gold Mountain Rebels. A great show for ACL, not to mention, he is the son of the great Bob Dylan.

Jamie Lidell
Jamie Lidell is a musician and soul singer from England. His second album, "Multiply", caught fire in 2005. His song "Multiply" was used in the hit TV show Grey�s Anatomy. A must see act at ACL!

Gogol Bordello
The eight member band, Gogol Bordello, has released four albums since 1999. The punk band from New York City is most known for their theatrical stage shows and includes dancers and accordion players in their sets.

Slightly Stoopid
An American based band which sounds includes acoustic rock, blues with reggae, hip-hop, and punk. The band has nine CD's, including their most recent, "Slightly Not Stoned Enough To Eat Breakfast Yet Stoopid"

Vampire Weekend
Vampire Weekend is an indie rock band from New York City. Spin Magazine put them on its cover and declared them "The Years Best New Band" right in time for South by Southwest.

Hot Chip is a British electro pop band. They have released three studio albums and their third album "Made in the Dark" was voted album of the month in MixMag. A band you must check out at ACL 2008!

G. Love and Special Sauce is an alternative hip hop band from Philadelphia. The band is most known for their laid back blues sound. Their most recent album, �Superhero Brother� was released this summer.

Mugison is an Icelandic musician and singer who usually performs as a one-man band using a guitar and computer. He studied in London to become a record producer and has released six albums.

Man Man is a band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They are known for their exuberant live performances and while performing, the members of the band dress in white outfits and wear war paint.

Robert Earl Keen
He is a Texan singer-songwriter and is popular with traditional country music fans, folk music fans, and the college radio crowd. He is best known for his song "The Road Goes on Forever" and his live shows.

Spiritualized is an English space rock band that formed in 1990. The music style they use lies heavily on sustained pedal notes and drones. Their next album features 120 musicians!

Conor Oberst is most known for his work in the band Bright Eyes. His new solo project with The Mystic Valley Band, released their debut album in early August.

Jose Gonzalez
Jose Gonzalez is perhaps the only Swedish indie-folk, singer-songwriter from Argentina. He has relased two albums, his most recent being "In our Nature" which was released late in 2007. A great fit for ACL music!

Sybris is an American indie rock band from Chicago, IL and a great band to see live. They released there second full length album in 2008 called "Into the Trees".

Nicole Atkins and the Sea
Nicole Atkins is an American singer-songwriter best known for her work with her band Nicole Atkins and the Sea. Her sound is known for its mix of traditional vocal styles and introspective lyrics.
